IJIS Institute 2012 Summer Industry Briefing
Budget constraints and staff cut backs at all levels of government are becoming the norm facing justice, public safety and homeland security. The pace of technological advancement and interconnectedness has increased leaving many agencies behind or struggling to keep up. Information sharing and collaboration are more important than ever.
Join us July 26*-28, 2012, for the Summer Industry Briefing in Santa Ana Pueblo, New Mexico to collaboratively explore various perspectives on the challenges of and future for information sharing and standards in this difficult environment. (* committee meetings)
Who should attend? Executives, key decision makers, and software developers from the government and industry information technology communities who are interested in information sharing.
Media and Press Attendance at the IJIS Institute Industry Briefing: The objective of the IJIS Institute Industry Briefing is to provide a collaborative forum where government and industry executives may engage in a frank and candid exchange on issues of topical importance to the justice, public safety and homeland security IT community. Accordingly, a "non-attribution" policy will apply. Reporters and attendees are asked to not attribute any statement to any individual speaker or participants in any recordings, documentation or social media for dissemination beyond the session.
At the conclusion of each speaker's session, reporters or attendees may ask speakers and/or participants subsequently to 'go on the record' to discuss comments made or positions taken. If the individual consents, reporters or attendees may quote or otherwise report any such statements made outside the session. However, if the participant does not consent, we ask all reporters and attendees to honor the non-attribution policy to preserve the Briefing as a completely open forum for meaningful exchange between government and industry.
