As one of the charter members of the IJIS Institute, Mr. Glenn Archer is deeply committed to furthering its vision, mission, and values. He has witnessed the Institute’s growth from concept to a prospering non-profit over the last four years mainly due to the support from all the member organizations and their representatives.
Mr. Archer is the Co-Founder and General Manager of Templar Corporation, a ChoicePoint Company and Vice President of ChoicePoint Government Services. Mr. Archer brings 16 years of domain expertise in law enforcement and intelligence programs. He is a graduate of Yale University, majoring in Economics with a concentration in Computer Science. Mr. Archer has expertise in domain assessment, knowledge acquisition, and engineering solutions as well as deep understanding of technology insertion and transition.
Mr. Archer pioneered the introduction of the Department of Defense’s Intelligent Query technology into the public safety market in the lat 1990s. He formed Templar Corporation and has worked with dozens of Federal, State, and Local clients to make information sharing a reality. Mr. Archer has aggregate industry experience building distributed planning, collaboration and analysis systems that encompasses the last 16 years of his career. Prior to co-founding Templar Corporation in February 2000, Mr. Archer was the Managing Director for ISX Corporation. There he directed advanced technology programs ranging from logistics to advanced command and control.
While overseeing day-to-day operations at Templar Corporation, Mr. Archer actively supported the IJIS Institute and the former Industry Working Group (IWG). Mr. Archer assisted in the organization of and presented in the IWG/Institute’s Emerging Technology Seminars Series, National Forums, and Technical Assistance Programs. He invested a great deal of time and helped bring to fruition the Information Sharing and Data Mining Technology series. Mr. Archer continues to maintain active involvement in IJIS Institute activities. He currently serves on the Executive Committee and is the Vice President of the IJIS Board of Directors. He has also been an active member of the IJIS Governance Committee and formerly served as its Vice-Chair. He also volunteered support and helped organize the future technology seminar series on Fusion Centers.
