Justice practitioners rely on timely, accurate, and complete criminal history and warrant information to make informed public--‐safety related decisions. The processes involved in managing this information are complex and require collaboration and cooperation among local, state, tribal, and federal partners.
The National Center for State Courts (NCSC) and SEARCH have provided technical assistance and, in some cases, subgrants to states to help improve warrant management and criminal disposition reporting. We have created the Warrant & Disposition Toolkit to highlight best practices and data standards and to provide guidance to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of warrant and disposition reporting for state and local government stakeholders. A one--‐hour webinar on each subject will be held with NCSC, SEARCH, and state practitioners in April of 2016.
