Strengthening Operational Impact

For the ninth year, AFCEA Bethesda is gathering the law enforcement and public safety IT community. The Law Enforcement and Public Safety Technology Forum will bring together more than 300 executives, IT professionals and operators from across federal, state and local law enforcement, homeland security and public safety agencies to have a critical conversation on Strengthening Operational Impact.

Join us for an evening kickoff on May 9th and a half-day session on May 10th, as we harness the energy and spirit of problem-solving and engage in discussions that we believe will strengthen the operational impact of our LEAPS community.

Focus Areas:

In industry and government, cloud computing has proven to be an effective method for providing reliable IT services without the heavy capital equipment investment required of traditional data centers.  Used appropriately, it can also provide significant cost savings to organizations that make use of dynamic right sizing of servers and storage.  Because of this, many law enforcement organizations are now moving from on-premise solutions and into the cloud.  Join this track to explore considerations that must be built into any law enforcement cloud migration and operation strategy.

EVENT HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Keynote presentations and panel discussions from key stakeholders at critical agencies such as DHS, DoD, DOJ, FBI, CBP and FirstNet
  • Breakout sessions discussing challenges, trends and initiatives between government and industry that will lead to innovation and economic growth
  • Interaction with federal program offices to discuss future healthcare focused IT opportunities
  • Networking opportunities with LEAPS IT decision makers and thought leaders
  • Continuing Education Units (CEUs) offered through AFCEA International for qualifying sessions
