These programs typically address issues of national impact in the justice, public safety, and homeland security sectors. The IJIS Institute provides a platform for government and industry to come together as a joint force to enable solutions to those issues that are most critical today.

Our innovative service model allows us to offer a cost-effective means of developing information sharing standards while securing the endorsement of private and public sector professionals through their active participation.

Information sharing is a matter of urgent concern to the public and private sectors as both understand the importance to the effectiveness of justice, public safety, and homeland security missions. The IJIS Institute provides services in support of the initiation of programs designed to advance information sharing solutions through standards and technology.

The IJIS Institute team helps private and public sector professionals design and adopt standardized information sharing solutions through:

  • adaptive coordination and management of information sharing projects and programs,
  • creation of tools that enable usability and continued relevance of information sharing standards and guidelines,
  • implementation of systems that promote adoption and ongoing improvement of information sharing standards and guidelines, and
  • private industry contributions to national forums that promote or address information sharing issues, advancement, education, best practices, and outreach.
