Our Mission

   

Joining the resources of industry with the interests of government to improve the systems that provide critical information to the justice and public safety professionals who protect and serve our communities.



Objectives

  • Provide leadership for the industry in information sharing
  • Be the voice of industry in developing policies and programs in information sharing for justice and public safety
  • Enhance collaboration between the public and private sectors
  • Provide technology assistance and training to Federal/state/local/tribal agencies in improving information sharing
  • Support operational and technical standards initiatives to improve information sharing where there are national implications
  • Provide clear and compelling value to IJIS Institute member companies
  • Attract all companies in this industry to participate in Institute activities
  • Ensure the availability of necessary resources to maintain the quality of the Institute’s services, operations and programs
