Dear Valued Members of the IJIS Community:
The current COVID-19 pandemic has changed our lives and the way we do business since our last meeting in February. Over the past several months, the IJIS Institute has been carefully monitoring the COVID-19 situation to ultimately decide on how best to deliver the IJIS Mid-Year Briefing and Membership Forum. To protect and ensure the safety of ALL event attendees, we have decided to convert the in-person meeting (initially scheduled for July 14-15 in Orlando, FL) to be delivered virtually on August 5-6.
With this change, the Institute remains committed to delivering briefings and interactive discussions on pressing topics that impact both industry and government national in the current environment. We understand the importance of these collaborative events now more than ever, especially to help guide us through these difficult times and determine areas where we can lend a helping hand to our practitioners that continue to combat the crisis and keep our communities safe and healthy every day.
To ensure that this important event is successfully delivered, this summer the IJIS Institute will be putting together a series of interactive webinars centered around the lessons learned, best practices, technologies leveraged, funding opportunities during this Pandemic. We will develop educational sessions focused on how COVID-19 has impacted business operations for both industry and government while hearing from practitioners who are dealing with these issues first-hand AND solutions providers that are helping combat these matters.
In light of the current crisis, these webinars will be free. We strongly encourage participation by all interested parties to better understand and collectively address issues that are facing our communities nationwide. We will be conducting a fundraising campaign to raise money for our first responders working tirelessly around the clock.
We will continue to keep you all informed of the intended plan and associated developments. In the meantime, we hope you and your families remain safe and healthy.
