The IJIS Institute has developed a number of knowledge center resources to help you research and resolve answers to your technical questions on information sharing and safeguarding and standards-based information sharing initiatives.
The National Information Sharing Standards (NISS) Help Desk helps users find answers to technical questions regarding the content, principles, and best practices for using information sharing standards. The NISS contains information about the Global Justice XML Data Model (GJXDM), the National Information Exchange Model (NIEM), Global Reference Architecture (GRA), and Global Federated Identity and Privilege Management (GFIPM). For information regarding NIEM, please visit www.NIEM.gov.
The NISS also provides information about planned, in-progress, and completed Information Exchange Package Documentation (IEPD). Developers can maximize resources and time by using the IEPD repository to access and share reusable, NIEM-conformant artifacts. Most importantly, the IEPD repository enables directly relevant collaboration between organizations and people working to solve similar problems within the justice, public safety, homeland security and other domains.
The NISS contains a Knowledge Base where users can find answers to their technical questions regarding the content, principles, and best practices for using standards, and developing IEPDs.
