The inaugural Blockchain Technology Summit, co-sponsored by the IJIS Institute and Microsoft, is an opportunity for executives from federal, state, and local government agencies to engage in free-flowing discussion with technology industry leaders on the applicability of blockchain (distributed ledger) technologies to support agency operations.

The objective of this one-day event is to provide government and the technology industry with an overview on the fundamentals of blockchain (distributed ledger) technology and provide insights on current efforts underway and future priorities. The Summit will be an open forum for discussing lessons learned and opportunities for agency and industry collaboration. Working side by side, participants will identify business problems, brainstorm and prioritize opportunities, and chart a course for future efforts.
